That's me on the old boat with an 82 LB Bluefin.
I take the boat out about
1 time a week, usually on week days. This is dependent on the
marine forecast. If you are here and see me hooking up the boat
just walk up and ask. If I have an open spot on the boat it's
first come first serve. If you want a guaranteed trip, I suggest
that you reserve a charter boat at the links below. If you have
a 7 night reservation, I will try to reserve a first come spot
for you on my boat.
Note: Due to weight limits of the boat, for a safe comfortable
ride and due to limited space, a maximum of 1 adults weighing
250 pounds or less each or 1 adult and 1 child with a combined
weight of not more than 350 pounds will be allowed on the boat.
This is a friends sharing expenses trip, not a charter. Should
you not be able to get on the boat, there are no refunds or discounts
on lodging. No purchase is necessary. Should you be a diehard
fisherman like me and want to trade trips in your area on your
boat for trips on mine, lets talk. If you get on the boat, you
will be asked to buy 1/2 the gas and the bait in advance. If
you do not have your own rods and tackle, you will be asked to
post a security deposit or credit card to pay for any tackle
you loose. For your information, A rock cod trip uses about $150
in gas. A tuna trip costs about $450 in gas. If you drop a rod
over board, depending on the rod it could cost between $50 and
$2,500. If you can't afford to replace an expensive rod, don't
use it, ask in advance!
Salmon is closed in 2008.
Rock Cod is very restricted. We now fish this only commercial.
I might be able to get you on as an observer but that means you
only watch and take pictures. On the other hand we have fresh
fish to sell.
Tuna usually starts around July and is best in Sept, Here I can
get you on the boat sport for shared gas expences. Expect to
pay $150 a person on fuel.

Those who have not been
out on the ocean should consider a local trip
before going tuna fishing:
Until you have
been on some shorter local ocean fishing trips, you should consider
the lake listed below. If your unsure if you get sea sick, please
ask if I am going on a near shore trip. This is because seasickness
is worse than any sickness you have ever felt. It can be so bad
that it can cause you to throw up the linings of you stomach
and even cause death. We must know in advance if you are unsure
so we can stay close to shore and take you back to shore if needed.
Because we are way to far out to return to shore on any tuna
trip, no one will be allowed to come on a Tuna trip unless they
show proof that they have been fishing at sea. This will require
photos of you with ocean fish and or you on the boat. The only
other option would be to show me you can handle the rough water
by going on shorter trips with me first.
