
Poison Oak: Green
in spring, red in fall, bare in winter. Leaves are in groups
of 3, the scalloped shape on the edge of the leaves is more pronounced
in the spring. Red rash develops within minuets to 24 hours later
and last up to 2 weeks. Scratching spreads rash.If touched wash area ASAP with hot water. Some soaps spread the inviable oil, use phisoderm soap if possible. Denatured alcohol can be used to remove the oil but only if used before the rash develops. Once the rash develops use Hydrocortisone cream. Extreme cases should seek medical attention. |
Stinger
Nettles: Grows to 10' high. Looks soft and fuzzy.
Touching causes instant pain and small blisters like multiple
bee stings. Pain will fade after about 20 minuets.Mud may reduce pain. |
